all about
avery green

I was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri where I share a house with my husband, Dalton, miniature schnauzer, Honey Pie Pony (after Strawberry Shortcake of course), Double Doodle, Fenway (yes we are Red Sox fans) and our cat, Gray (yes she is gray). I have never remembered a time where I wasn’t expressing myself through creativity. Growing up I enjoyed art classes, painting, and taking pictures. I am beyond blessed that these hobbies have transitioned into a career.

All throughout high school, I worked as a graphic designer at Arc Media on a team with other designers. At Arc, I created Facebook posts for over 80 electric cooperative pages across America. I then transitioned into the print side of design at Modern Litho. I am now at the Convention & Visitors Bureau as the Content & Communications Specialist. I hope to continue capturing sweet smiles for people to carry with them forever.

my style

I have always had an eye that sees things in an artful way that many don't. If you book with me you will get exactly that. Art found in moments frozen in time to look back on whenever. I aim to capture the authentic beauty that is in front of my lens. While posing is great, what's better than just being you? I want my images to convey emotion, not that I create, but of those who are being seen through my camera.

I love the history that images bring and that's what I want to create. A photo that is timeless, like the polaroids or old rolls of film you find in your parents storage. They still tell a story decades later. While I use digital and film, I like to keep that classic editing style that never gets old.

During our session, it's always my goal to be a comfortable space. I love to see people be themselves.

my love story

My husband, Dalton and I started dating in 2017. We dated for two years and then spent two apart after being on different timelines. We passed each other driving one day and all the feelings came back. I later got a text, we met for dinner, decided we wanted to get married, started dating again (yes that is the correct order lol), got engaged a month later, and married a year after that. We've been together ever since. We now own a home in Jefferson City with our sweet animals. Can't wait to see where God leads us next.

FUN FACT: I always swore I'd never do wedding photography, but fell in love with the idea of it after having ours photographed by the wonderful Michaella Jelin.

can I capture yours?
